Here's everything you need to know about commissions.
There aren’t any rules when it comes to designing your painting. You can chat to me about colours, style, size, send me a picture of your boat, your favourite photo or simply a photo of an empty wall that needs filling. You can have lots of ideas or none at all. I love to make your vision come to life.

I will send you a quote then ask that you pay 50% of the cost upfront so that I can go ahead with ordering your custom-made canvas. Each quality tulipwood canvas is made to your specific measurements. The remaining 50% is then due upon completion.

Trust the process
I don't tend to update you with photos during the creation of the commission. When you are happy we're on the same page, I will get to work and update you when I believe I am finished.
The first 50%
The first 50% covers material costs and my time. For this reason, this payment is not refundable.
My lead time
I often have a bit of a lead time for commissions. Just send me a message and I'll let you know when you could expect a painting.
Creative license please
My best work is created when I am allowed a little creative freedom. I have had a lot of practice creating these paintings and learning what works. Please trust my thoughts.
Bigger the better
I love to work on a large scale. If you have a big blank wall that needs filling, please get in touch.
Interested in commissioning a painting onto your old sail?
If you have an old sail sat in your garage and you'd like to give it a second life, just organise sending it to me and I'll capture your memories in paint using your sail as the canvas.
If you're not fussed about a custom painting but would love to add a personal touch to one of my already-created originals, how about adding some numbers? Whether it be a boat number or a birthday, in most cases I can find a clever way to add this to your favourite painting.
